Hospital Opening

THIE's Liz Jennings and Martin County Hospital District administrator Paul McKinney toured the new Martin County Hospital still under construction. The district is planning to open the hospital May 1. The new building replaces a 63 year-old building. It will have 18 private rooms, a surgery suite, and facilities for radiology, lab, and both physical and respiratory therapy services.  The 62,500 square foot building will also house home health services, doctors' offices, a dental clinic, rural health clinic, and a visiting doctor clinic. The dining room will seat 48 and be open to the community for both breakfast and lunch.

Martin County Hospital District became a THIE subscriber in 1980 and currently purchases Auto, Hospital Professional and General Liability and Workers' Compensation coverage from the Exchange.
